Frequently Asked Questions

Can I apply to more than one category?

Yes. You may submit the same product to multiple categories, or, submit multiple products to the same category. There is no limit to how many applications your company can submit.

How are applications judged?

Each application will be reviewed by two judges against a set of criteria designed to evaluate the product’s ability to make a positive, innovative, real world impact on the biotech and pharma industries.

How are Best in Show Winners selected?

Best in Show winners are selected from category winners. Each category winner’s application is resubmitted to the judges who then select the most impressive cost saver, the best patient engagement solution and the most innovative product overall.

How can I pay for my application?

You can pay for your application and upgrades using a credit card at the time of submission. Submissions must be paid for by the deadline in order to be reviewed by judges.

What information should I include in my application?

It is mandatory for your application to include Product/Service Name, Product/Service Description, Real World Application of Product/Service, Company Name, Company Overview, Company Website, Company Logo, and Company Address. Payment is also required to complete the application.  You also have the opportunity to provide supplementary materials such as press releases, PowerPoint presentations, data sheets, case studies, links to demo videos, etc.  

What is Real World Application of Product/Service?

The category question, "Real World Application of Product/Service" is a description of the existing state of the product/service, as opposed to information that is theoretical or simulated. Scores are weighted by the strength of data and results presented. You may upload case studies or other supplementary documents to support this response in the “supplementary materials” upload section of the application. Supplementary materials are not required but are encouraged.

What is the cost to apply?

The cost to submit a single application is $550. Applicants also have the opportunity to purchase advertising in our Innovation Report which will feature interviews with Winners and Best in Show Winners. Advertising opportunities include directory listings ($250), full page advertisements ($500) , and thought leadership articles ($750) or purchase the complete branding package ($1,250). 

What is the Innovation Report?

The Innovation Report will feature spotlights and interviews of all category winners and will be promoted to the 300,000+ influencers and decision-makers who read and trust FierceHealthcare and FiercePayer.  Add-ons can be purchased when you submit an application or they may be added to an existing application after submission.  The deadline to purchase an add-on is Friday, November 15.  The Innovation Report is scheduled to publish on Thursday, December 5.

Who is eligible to apply?

Any company that has a product, solution, or service that addresses a specific need or challenge faced by the healthcare industry. The application will be scored high/low based on the ability of the applicant to demonstrate the following; effectiveness, technical innovation, competitive advantage, financial impact, and true innovation. Descriptions of the criteria can be found on the category page.

Will I receive feedback from the judges?

Unfortunately, no.
